Challenge
The Department of Anthropology had written its own textbook and wanted it to become an interactive open educational resource that students could use as a self-paced learning resource.
Approach
I built the manuscript into 20 interactive modules in Articulate Rise. I designed the modules, sourced public domain images to illustrate the content and wrote assessment questions. Each chapter has one or two activities and discussion questions, and the course includes a glossary and references. I also made sure the course met digital accessibility standards.
