Challenge
The sales distribution team asked for instruction on customizing the 360-degree detection pattern of the DS939 and DS9370/DS9371 panoramic ceiling mount detectors. Installers needed a reference they could turn to on their own.
Approach
I chose a short video as the best format for self-serve learning. Working from the product documentation, I wrote a storyboard and adapted charts and graphs to explain the range dials and adjustment table. A creative studio produced realistic 3D product animations from my storyboard. I then added callouts, indicators, music and narration and edited everything into the final video.
Outcome
2.8K views and appreciative comments from sales team and installers.
